What Is It?
The Chocolate Classic 2011 is a festive family event held near Valentine’s Day at the historic Hotel Jerome. Since 1985, this community event has drawn a popular following of all ages. Close to six hundred people attended the last event, benefiting such a worthy cause – RESPONSE: Help for Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault!
The center of the event is a Chocolate Competition divided into three categories:
1) Professional, 2) Amateur, and 3) Kids.
Competitors vie for awards, bragging rights, and recognition from hundreds of chocolate lovers, who get to vote on the “People’s Choice Award”.
In addition to this chocolate extravaganza, there is a
Silent Auction
with hundreds of items to bid on, everything from beautiful paintings to romantic dinners, and just in time for Valentine’s Day!
RESPONSE depends on the Chocolate Classic each year to raise money for direct services to survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
